Message from Northants Hunt Saboteurs
Huntsman Sam Jones and Whipper in Max Logan have both been charged with four counts of illegal hunting after evidence gathered by our sabs of four separate incidents between November and December 2025 was provided to the Leicestershire Rural Crime Team.
Sam Jones has now left the Cottesmore and has since joined the Ledbury Hunt as huntsman, but it must be stressed that all four of these incidents occurred whilst he was employed as huntsman of the Cottesmore foxhounds.
Both are due to attend Leicester Magistrates court for plea hearings with Sam Jones due to attend on the 20th May (tomorrow) and Max Logan on the 1st June.
We are unable to share any more details at this time but we will update you all in due course with any developments.
