A poacher used two dogs to hunt and kill a deer before he and an associate streamed themselves butchering the animal in his back garden live on TikTok.
Police were called to the Telford home of Terrence Harding after he and a friend began their bizarre live broadcast soon after 3am on October 13 last year, using knives to chop up the deer’s carcass and even removing its heart.
A court heard that the two men interspersed the live butchery broadcast with clips they had recorded of the attack on the roe deer.
One of the lurchers suffered a serious injury in the attack on the deer in October last year but Harding, 38, declined to take the dog to a vet, instead saying he would use super glue to treat the wound.
The case was brought to court after one man who woke up early that morning checked his phone at 3.17am, saw the shocking broadcast on Harding’s TikTok account and began to record it, RSPCA prosecutor Janita Patel told Telford Magistrates Court on Monday (June 29).
In a statement read to the court the man said: “I saw Terrence butchering a deer in what appeared to be a back garden. “I saw Terrence remove the heart of the deer, which I believed to be an adult roe.”
Both men were “gloating and mocking” the animal, the man said.
As part of the live stream they showed pre-recorded clips of an attack on a deer in a field, capturing the lurchers biting its neck and head and a “squeaking” noise from the distressed deer. “I believe this was the same deer,” the man said.
One of the men was heard saying the butchered deer was the “second one” they had “done”.
During the broadcast Harding, of Stebbings in Sutton Hill, took the camera closer to one of the lurcher dogs, Ivy, and described the “tennis ball-sized wound” she had sustained while running down a deer.
The men even answered questions from viewers during the broadcast, the statement said.
The broadcast went on for 46 minutes before police arrived at the address in Stebbings, Ms Patel said.
There the officers found the butchery area covered in blood, furred deer remains in a bucket and a head, two blood-stained knives, a dead pigeon and a catapult-type weapon. They also found Ivy and the other dog, Axle, one of which was eating a deer leg.
Both men were arrested and both animals were seized.
The dogs were examined by a veterinary expert who concluded they had both likely suffered injuries as a result of attacking a deer, the court heard.
Police investigators examined Harding’s other videos and found clips of dogs attacking deers, dogs attacking a badger and ferrets attacking a pigeon.
Harding discussed Ivy’s large wound but said he would use “home remedies” to treat it including salt water and super glue, Ms Patel said.
Harding was charged with failing to ensure the welfare of the two dogs and three offences under the Deer Act 1991: intentionally killing a deer without the consent of a land owner or occupier, removing the carcass of a deer without said consent, and intentionally killing a deer at night.
He had been told to attend court on Monday to answer the charges but was absent and unrepresented.
After hearing the evidence from the RSPCA prosecutor, the magistrates found all the charges proven in his absence.
They issued a warrant for his arrest.

TIK TOK IS A DISGRACE AND SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN IMMEDIATELY. As for these evil bastards they are murderers and should be treated as such full life for them all. It is time that the law in this country covers animal abuse and murder the same as it does if it is a child. As for pararsites that watch this disgusting stuff they should be ashamed what sort of scum are they?????????????
