Messge from North Dorset Hunt Saboteurs
23rd September 2025
Hunt supporter Robert Small was reported for road blocking and dangerous driving as he tried to intimidate and hamper a sab at a meet in Hornblotten in February.
On the 13th of September at Taunton Deane Magistrates Court, he pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, and obstruction of the public highway. He was fined £307 and issued 6 points on his license. He was also charged £85 costs and a surcharge of £125.
Over the last couple of years, 13 members of the BSV have been convicted for crimes committed while hunting – including 4 convicted of fox hunting and 2 for Actual Bodily Harm (ABH). A number of trials are still to take place this year.
Sabs were with them on Saturday for a meet at Hunt Master Tom Riall’s residence, Tanners Farm, in Kington Magna. Police were called when 2 female sabs were subjected to aggression by a rider, whilst hounds trespassed after a fox in a private orchard.
