Message from Northants Hunt Saboteurs
Cottesmore Hunt terrier man Max Logan has been charged with the interference of a Badger sett after our sabs filmed him digging into a sett on the 9th January 2025 in Owston Wood, Leicestershire.
Cottesmore Huntsman Sam Jones has also been charged with aid and abet the interference of said Badger sett.
Both Max Logan and Sam Jones pleaded Not guilty at a court hearing and will now face a two day trial at Loughborough Magistrates court on the 17th & 18th September 2025.
We are unable to go into any further details at this time but updates will be provided as and when we are able to.
This means that the Cottesmore Hunt will now be on trial facing two separate charges in September with the other relating to their huntsman Sam Jones being charged for hunting a wild mammal with dogs.
Our sabs will be in court ready to give evidence against them for both of these charges.
