Officers investigating a reported illegal hunt in Sturminster Newton have charged a man in connection with the incident.
It is reported that on the afternoon of Sunday 13 October 2024 a hare was pursued by a hunt group in the area of of Bagber Common.
Following an investigation led by Police Constable Lauren Middleton, of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, a 19-year-old man from Templecombe in Somerset has been charged with illegally hunting a wild mammal with dogs.
He is due to appear at court on Wednesday 21 May 2025.
