Four men and two juveniles have been summoned to Boston Magistrates Court on Wednesday 16 April 2025, to answer charges of trespassing with intent to search for or to pursue hares with dogs and a second offence of being equipped for searching for or pursuing hares with dogs.
It is alleged that Billy Joe Saunders, John Maurice Smith, Noah Stanley senior, Noah Stanley junior and two juveniles were at Beach Bank at West Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire, on Wednesday 9 October 2024, where they used dogs whilst trespassing on land to make hare coursing runs, contrary to Section 63 of the Police, Crime and Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 and also had two lurcher type dogs with the intention that they would be used in the course of or in connection with an offence of trespass with intent to search for or pursue hares with dogs, contrary to Section 64 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022.
Billy Joe Saunders has additional charges of using threatening or abusive words or behaving in a disorderly manner, contrary to Section 5 of the Public Order Act 1986 and driving a Mercedes Benz ML in a condition likely to cause danger of injury, contrary to Section 40(a) of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
