Tom was deliberately run over by huntsman Anthony Ball, who was driving the hound van as the hunt was packing up. Witnesses reported that the vehicle was driven aggressively toward the sabs, hitting Tom and dragging him under the wheels. Hunt supporters were seen laughing and celebrating, treating it as a victory. Despite the murder, no charges were brought, with authorities calling it an “accident”.
