Warwickshire Hunt group to appear in court over alleged fox death

2nd January 2025

A new court date has been set for a man and hunting group after the alleged death of a fox. Warwickshire Hunt Limited and Benjamin Halsall were charged under the Hunting Act 2004.

Halsall from Whatcote Road, Shipston-on-Stour, and the Warwickshire Hunt Limited have been charged with hunting a wild mammal with dogs. It follows an investigation by Warwickshire Police’s Rural Crime Team.

The investigation was into an incident in the Idlicote area of Warwickshire on October 9 2023, where dogs were allegedly involved in the death of a fox.

The 23-year-old and Warwickshire Hunt Ltd appeared before magistrates last year. A court trial date was set for March of this year.

But this has now been changed to Monday, January 20, Warwickshire Police has confirmed to CoventryLive.
