Pytchley with Woodland Hunt yob, Marc Birney, has today been convicted of assault by beating against one of our members.
Hunt supporter Birney, who was banned from driving after being convicted of drug driving in August 2023, launched the cowardly attack on our member as we disrupted illegal fox hunting by the Pytchley with Woodland Hunt at Bisbrooke, Northants, on 18th March 2023.
Birney, who failed to appear in court for a second time, will be summonsed to appear for sentencing in October.
Our whole group would like to offer our thanks to the witness from Norfolk/Suffolk Hunt Saboteurs and Northamptonshire Police for helping us bring this person to justice. Mr Birney has got away with assaulting too many hunt saboteurs over the years, we share this great result with them.
We will report next month on the sentencing.

Well done sabs thugs like this want putting away for a very long time, the fact he did not appear in court should mean he gets a longer sentence, not some ridiculous fine or community service, evil bastards like this must be taught a lesson and jail the parasite.
