Message from NE HUNT Monitors
On the 1st & 15th of January 2022 we filmed a series of railway trespass by members of the South Durham Hunt (SDH), all footage and names of those involved was forwarded to British Transport Police who in turn then forwarded the footage to the CID in Newcastle due to the serious nature of the events.
All were brought in for formal interviews and reminded of the dangers of railway trespass.
We have been in formed that they were all dealt with under the community resolution for railway trespass and all agreed they were in the wrong and are sorry for their actions.
Pretty much a slap on the wrist however if it was to happen again the outcome would be very much different.
We have been asked to forward any more footage we get in future to themselves and to also to report to Network Rail so fines can be issued.
This is the first result of many ongoing cases from the past season involving SDH.
We will keep you updated on any more progress that is made with the cases of assault that are still pending.
Why is it that all this filthy scum get is a slap on the wrist or a fine, these law breaking parasites should go to prison if not get community service and tagged for a year. This is not the first time they have been caught on railway tracks, dogs have been killed in the past on the tracks.
