Message from Manchester Hunt Sabs – 23rd February 2021
Over the past few days we have had numerous reports of lamping happening around Harper Fold in Radcliffe, but we have always been too late to catch them in the act.
However last night that all changed. Multiple concerned locals messaged our page with information which helped us locate a shooter and his mate at Harper Fold Farm (Harper Fold Farm, Lavender St, Radcliffe, Manchester M26 3TJ)
They originally claimed to be shooting Foxes as pest control, then changed their story to say they were looking to shoot an injured deer on behalf of the RSPCA. Top tip: if you’re going to lie, at least be consistent!
After a brief period of standing around not sure what to do now that sabs were there, they eventually packed up and left. We have no doubt that they will try again another night, but we know their names, we have their details, and we know where they operate.
We’ll keep their names and personal details off this post for now, but rest assured we will be watching.

🦊 – they are armed and could be potentially dangerous, always make your presence known when entering a field. Do not try to sneak up on someone with a gun
🦊 – please make sure you stick to the footpaths, thankfully there are a few that cross this land.
🦊 – stay as far away from the livery yard and stables as possible, we have been reliably informed that there are a number of sick/injured horses that are recovering there.
We do not want anyone disturbing these horses when they are sleeping. Horses are easily spooked and could injure themselves further.
Thank you to all of the locals that have been tipping us off about this shooting, it’s great to see so many people opposed to unnecessary killing.
