A Horsham District man is to appear in court over fox hunting offences.
21st August 2020
William Bishop, 50, (huntsman for the Crawley & Horsham Fox Hunt) of Kennel Lane, West Grinstead has been summonsed for two offences of hunting a fox with dogs contrary to the Hunting Act 2004, police said. Bishop is due to appear before Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday August 25 after being summonsed with the offence following an incident at Gay Street, Pulborough, on December 10 2019.
A police spokeswoman added: “He will also appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on October 6 summonsed with the same offence following an incident at Patching Copse, Patching, Worthing, on January 21 this year.”

wow! good news but as its extremely rare for anyone to be prosecuted for fox hunting, and especially when the accused is a huntsman and not terrier man – do we know how this prosecutor succeeded?
who on earth succeeded in prosecuting someone for fox hunting? this is soooo rare. great news but would love to know how it happened
Not so rare with the Crawley and Horsham hunt. If convicted he will be the third professional huntsman with this hunt to be found guilty.
